1. Who we are
Fluent is made and operated by FluentWorks ("we", "us"). This policy says what we collect when you use Fluent and this website, and what we do with it. It is part of the Terms of use. Fluent is offered only in the United States.
2. What we collect
- Your account: your email address and your password, which is kept only as a hash.
- Your workspace: boards, tickets, agents, workflows, rules, settings and session records, in a database of your own.
- Your Linear API key, if you connect Linear, encrypted, so the app can work on a second computer or in the browser without asking for it again.
- Files a session saves for you, such as documents and screenshots it attaches to a ticket.
- The organizations you belong to, the people you invite (their email addresses) and your role in each.
- Billing for Pro: Stripe takes the payment and keeps the card details; we keep the Stripe customer and subscription for your organization, its plan, and when it renews or ends.
- Your sign-up request, if you sign up on this site before your account exists: your email address.
- Which version of the Terms you accepted, and when.
- A log of sign-ins and account changes, with the IP address they came from, to keep accounts secure.
3. How we use it
We use this information to run Fluent for you: to sign you in, keep your workspace, run billing, send the emails the service needs (a code to verify your address or reset your password, word that your account is ready, a billing receipt from Stripe), keep the service and accounts secure, answer you when you write to us, and meet our legal duties.
We never sell or share your data for advertising, and we show no advertising.
4. What stays on your computer
Claude Code sessions, their terminals and their working folders run on your own computer. They are not uploaded, except files a session saves to a ticket. Claude Code talks to Anthropic under your own Claude account. When you connect Linear, the app talks to it directly from your computer or browser with your key. Anthropic, Linear and the other services your sessions reach hold what they receive under their own privacy policies, not this one.
5. Who holds it for us
These companies hold or handle your information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us, in the United States:
- Neon stores accounts and workspaces in Postgres databases, region aws-us-west-2, and runs sign-in, including the emails with sign-in and password reset codes.
- Vercel runs the website, the web app and its API (Portland, Oregon), keeps saved files in Vercel Blob storage, and counts page views on this site.
- Stripe takes Pro payments, keeps the card details and the billing address, and sends receipts.
- Resend sends the email that says your account is ready, and passes a sign-up request from this site on to us.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users, us or others, or to a company that takes over Fluent, which must keep to this policy.
6. Cookies and analytics
No tracking cookies. The web app sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in. The public pages count page views without cookies: Vercel tells visits apart by a hash of the request that it discards within 24 hours, and keeps the page, the referrer, the browser and device, and a rough location. The app has no analytics.
7. How long we keep it
- Your account and workspace are kept while your account exists. To delete your account, email support@develcentral.com from the address on it. We delete your account, the workspace databases of organizations you own, and your saved files within 30 days, and confirm by email.
- A deleted organization is closed for every member at once. We delete its database and saved files within 30 days.
- The log of sign-ins and account changes is kept as long as reasonably needed for security, to prevent fraud and abuse, and to establish or defend legal claims, including after an account is deleted.
- Billing records are kept by Stripe, and by us as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- A sign-up request is kept until your account is created or the request is declined, and then as long as needed to answer a later request from the same address.
- Copies in our providers' backups expire on their own schedules.
8. Security and breaches
Data is encrypted in transit, Linear keys and database connections are encrypted at rest, and passwords are kept only as hashes. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will tell you by email, without unreasonable delay and as the law requires, with what happened and what you can do. See also Security.
9. Children
Fluent is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, email us and we will delete it.
10. Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you can ask us:
- to tell you what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why, and who we disclosed it to;
- for a copy of it;
- to correct it; and
- to delete it, except what we must keep for the reasons above.
We do not sell or share personal information, as California law defines those words, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer anything about you. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. To use them, email support@develcentral.com from the address on your account. We will confirm who you are by that address and answer within 45 days. Someone you authorize in writing may ask for you.
11. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes, and you are asked to read and accept the new version the next time you sign in or open the app. For a change that matters, we will also try to email you first.
